The Labour of Pain and Joy

Seong Ji-yeon, a female officer of the North Korean army, is discovered by southern forces on a snow covered mountain. She suffers from severe frostbite so she is taken to a military hospital. There she falls in love with a doctor, Captain Lee. However, when he is sent to the front, she is sent to try to survive the hardships of a POW camp.

When two of artist Barbora Kysilkova’s most valuable paintings are stolen from a gallery at Frogner in Oslo, the police are able to find the thief after a few days, but the paintings are nowhere to be found. Barbora goes to the trial in hopes of finding clues, but instead she ends up asking the thief if she can paint a portrait of him. This will be the start of a very unusual friendship. Over three years, the cinematic documentary follows the incredible story of the artist looking for her stolen paintings, while at the same time turning the thief into art.

Great story and a really touching one. It talks about a group of 4 friends going on a road trip, in search for goals and inner-self To "Macky" he's going because he's searching for his long lost best friend from college, whom he had grown to care and loved. To others this was just a vacation or so they thought. Along the travel they realize the emotional and deep attachment to each other, that they are there for each other from best friends to lovers. The story shows some contentment when you finally found the one that you have been searching for. The feeling of doing what you always wanted, its the relief of having said the words that you have been hiding, yet been wanting to shout for a very long time.
