She has starred in acclaimed films such as Colors of the Blind (1997), which earned her multiple awards, and Forgetting to Know You (2013). On television, she is well-known for her roles in series like Sunny Piggy (2000) and The Red (2014). Internationally, she appeared in the Academy Award-winning film The Red Violin (1998). Tao Hong is also married to actor and director Xu Zheng, and the couple has collaborated on several projects.
