Biography

Tomás Travelho grew up in Mira, Coimbra, in the center of Portugal, where he still resides. During his childhood, he developed a passion for cinema while watching Charlie Chaplin movies, which also fostered his ability to tell stories visually. He moved to Covilhã at the age of 18 to pursue a degree in Cinema at the University of Beira Interior. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a crew member on several university short films, serving mostly as a cinematographer for documentary shorts. His main career goal is to direct feature films for major production companies, explore the potential of the cinematic eye, and create new stories that entertain audiences and provoke reflection about cinema and its narratives.
