All things sweet and wonderful… You’ve made my life so special! Filipino-born Chinese HO MEI-TIN (WU, MYOLIE) has been slightly overweight since childhood. She is constantly teased about her chubby frame while in Hong Kong, where it is widely recognized that thinness is the essence of beauty. Feeling so frustrated and annoyed, TIN decides to move back to the Philippines. However, when she notices the comments left in her drawing in response to her views on love, she soon has a change of heart and chooses to stay and look for the man of her dreams. TIN’s boss TAI HEI (HUI CHI ON, ANDY) takes a strong dislike to her rotund figure and keeps picking on her for no reason. But who would have guessed he would fall in love with this girl one day? To break away from his passion for TIN, HEI decides to marry his girlfriend SUNG MAN-YEE (YIU, CLAIRE) as soon as he can...

Irin is said to be hot-tempered and fearless — "The Devil". It's all an act, though; she puts up a mean front to build up her younger sister, Inn, by contrast. Based on a Thai legend, it tells the unearthly love story between Mak and his wife Nak who died in childbirth while her husband was at war and nevertheless remained around with her child both as ghosts. When Mak returns home, he finds his wife and child seemingly well.

Licking Hitler is a television play about a black propaganda unit operating in England during World War II, broadcast by the BBC on 10 January 1978 as part of the Play for Today series. Written and directed by David Hare, it featured performances by Kate Nelligan and Bill Paterson. Photography was by Ken Morgan and John Kenway while the producer was David Rose for BBC Birmingham. It won the best single television play BAFTA award for 1978. Hare intended the work as a companion piece to his stage play Plenty and he wrote Plenty as he was editing Licking Hitler, scene and scene about. Its theme is similar to that of Plenty: the effect of war on individuals' private lives and treating their experiences as a metaphor for the England of the present.
