El gran juego de la oca was a TV game show produced in Madrid, Spain from 1993 through 1995 and again in 1998 as El nuevo juego de la oca. It was a weekly show airing in a block of several hours on the Spanish channel Antena 3, and later Telecinco. The show was created by world-renowned television producer Jocelyn Hattab, and first premiered in Italy as Il Grande Gioco Dell'Oca.

Gönülçelen is inspired by Bernard Shaw's play 'Pygmalion' and its film adaptation 'My Fair Lady'. The series transports the scene to Istanbul where both Murat and Hasret, the two main characters, live. Murat is thirty years old and a successful musician and music educator who was born and raised in Istanbul. He comes from a long line of respected, rich and noble people. The female protagonist Hasret - on the other hand - was born and raised in one of Istanbul's most impoverished neighborhoods. She is a free spirited young woman with a 'foul' mouth. Hasret makes her living by selling flowers and occasionally singing in a band. Murat hears potential in her untrained voice and takes it upon himself to teach her the secrets of music by giving her a classical training.

Heartbreak Island will set hearts racing and temperatures rising when a group of single guys and girls put everything on the line to find their perfect match and be in the chance of winning $100,000. Beforehand, they have already been able to rate each other online and tick their favorites. On the island it is checked whether there is a match or not. The lucky ones are linked to their favorite date and the less popular ones have to make do with the leftovers. Then the game really starts. Every week, the couples have to do a few challenges together, where the losers threaten to leave the island unless they are saved by their competitors.
