He asks for something to drink and he is given wine, which he does not care for, and he is finally given some bottled beer and a glass, but he complains that the glass is too small and he gets a very large sized glass receptacle, into which his wife and maid servant pour the contents of the bottle. As he is about to drink the glass passes from his hand mysteriously, sailing through the room and out of the window to the moon…

MARIANNE (Evabritt Strandberg) is a 68-year old woman diagnosed with a terminal disease. Left with angst, she seeks therapy at a clinic where she is treated with Psilocybin (LSD) and meditation by a counselor, Eva (Hanna Schygulla). Through this she is transferred to her subconscious, where she meets and confronts her 25-year old self and her former husband.

Maurice Schwartzman gets an assignment to take a photo of a strongman. The big fellow, however, doesn't want his picture taken, and is willing to throw Schwartzman out of a window to avoid it.

From 1952 until 1972 one hundred and twenty-eight boys were taken from their families at a young age and placed in an institution, run by the state, where they suffered physical, sexual and psychological abuse. A large number of those committed to this institution came into conflict with society and ended up in jails and psychiatric institutions. More than 30 of the 128 boys have ended their lives. In the film, six of the men who were sentenced to the institution as boys, tell their story and how the stay there has influenced all their life. It's an emotional story, told with dignity and reserve.
