Biography

Paul Serafica (they/them) is a lecturer in the Department of Filipinology at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. They graduated with a degree in AB Filipinology as one of the first summa cum laude graduates of their program. Paul is currently pursuing graduate studies in MA Media Studies (Film) at the UP Film Institute. Their research interests include Philippine film, culture, literature, queer, and migration. Last year, Paul received a grant from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts for their research on Hong Kong OFW films.
